19A – Idea Napkin No. 2
Hello, My name is Dervens Jean-Baptiste!
I am a second here at the University of Florida. I have over 2 years of experience in customer service and programming. I know both Java and C and I have some experience in Powershell.
I’ve spent a majority of my life around both technology and people, but I have always felt even though both are slowly becoming interchangeable; there is a disconnect in understanding from both parties. What I mean is I feel that the majority of people don’t understand things they use every day and those creating the technology don’t understand what the people want in their technology. I want to work towards bridging that gap.
What I am offering today is a simple domain which will help connect both people to through technology. I want to create a website that allows users and businesses to discuss features and specifications on a variety of products. The idea is to create a site that not only informs the people on their tech but allows for an open forum to discuss what they want from future installments as well as what they want changed/removed.
The reason why you should care is that as technology is becoming more and more demanded in daily life, I feel it soon be a universal requirement for all people. What sets me apart from the competition is that idea that I’ve spent years working with those who need technology yet don’t understand it the slightest bit. From Cricket wireless to Best Buy. I’ve met all types of people who all have the same problem that can be easily fixed.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I really loke your idea. It's always refreshing to find someone who is very knowledgable in their field that is personable and willing to explain it to and help people with less knowledge on the subject. As someone (me) who has very very limited tech knowledge, but will soon be entering the workforce, I think this idea would be very useful! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI like how you are using your own experience and expertise to contribute to your business plan. I like how you elaborated on your idea and made it easier for non-tech students to understand by refraining from using industry jargon - this makes your post most inclusive of your reader audience. I would, however, include the name of your product so it sticks out in your readers' minds easily instead of trying to refer to the specs of the design.
